Finally after all the dramas, a comedy! In this movie, the Marx brothers help a young couple make it in the big time New York Opera Company. So, there was some opera mixed in with the humor. I was entertained by the wit and sarcasm of Groucho and Chico Marx. Especially of their reading of a contract. And then later the piano talent of Chico Marx. While the opera bits were nice, they dragged the movie down just a bit, but the end chaos scene was great fun.
I'll be honest, and admit that I had never seen a Marx brothers movie before. And this movie has a very famous scene, the Stateroom Scene, which sees 15 people in a tiny ship's cabin, already containing a bed and a large steamer trunk. This scene has been parodied (the word is "parody", Jen) and is referenced in other shows, music videos, and songs. Wikipedia says that it is one of the most famous comedy scenes of all time... And I've never seen it before.Ironically, this movie is regarded as one of the Marx brothers' best movies. The only one that can rival this movie is Duck Soup, which actually is the next movie on my list! So, let the laughs and frivolities continue!

I've actually never seen it either. I love when I know about a scene because of pop culture and then I actually see what people keep parodying.
